Today I’m excited to introduce extremely creative new small business owner Patty Rubin, the founder of Threads Full of Heart. Patty has turned her passion for sewing into making stunning upcycled denim jackets, skirts and pants that exude both style and sustainability. I personally found Patty when a close friend was wearing one of her creations. The jacket was fantastic. Her attention to every detail and high quality was evident. Immediately I knew Patty was one of those artists you want to help get out into the world.
Patty isn't your ordinary seamstress—she's a true embodiment of love and resilience, juggling the roles of mom, sister, nana, aunt, and friend with absolute grace. And her business isn't just about fashion; it's been a journey of self-discovery and empowerment. Through starting her business Patty has a newfound confidence, inspiring others to embrace their uniqueness and personal best.
Away from Threads Full of Heart, Patty is a compassionate caregiver to loved ones and friends battling cancer. It’s personal to her and she does whatever she can to contribute to the fight against cancer. For enjoyment, Patty loves to cook, practice yoga, and listen to music. She says her biggest joy is connecting with her community, both locally and with her home back in New York. Her infectious positivity and genuine warmth brighten the lives of those around her.
This Friday Patty will have her one-of-a kind designs for sale at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic School Annual Mother’s Morning Boutique from 8:00 am to noon. Not only can you see Threads Full of Heart but over 25 other small businesses, artists and vendors will be there.
