This week, I’m thrilled to introduce Cindy Mero. Cindy, an Arizona native, is a devoted wife and mother of two daughters plus a kitty. While her professional background lies in nonprofit fundraising, she recently embarked on a new venture – a floral business named Les Mereaux Cadeaux, meaning "The Mero Gifts" in French, reflecting her heritage and last name.
The seeds of Les Mereaux Cadeaux were planted several years ago when Cindy was grieving the loss of her brother. His loss made life feel exceedingly short. Cindy decided to channel her passion for creating arrangements into her floral business, believing that flowers not only convey care but also bring a sense of calm. Her early exposure to floral techniques came from her grandfather, a florist who once had a shop at Berridge Nursery, now the location of Duck and Decanter.
Recently, Cindy had the honor of crafting the floral decor for her high school alma mater Xavier College Preparatory's fall fundraiser. This experience propelled her to new heights and bolstered her confidence in handling large-scale events.
Community involvement has always been important to Cindy. She volunteers with the Junior League of Phoenix and the North Central Women's League. Professionally she works with Make-A-Wish AZ which has allowed her to make a profound impact in the community. As she proudly declares, "I can honestly say my work directly makes a difference in the lives of Arizona's critically ill children."
